Writing
is the ability to communicate properly with language symbols.  The writer has to develop writing skills that involve: spelling, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structures, punctuation, proper layout, coherence, cohesion and organization.  These skills will help writers and learners to write correctly, in order to provide meaning through arguments, opinions, essays and so on, in a well-constructed text.

Here is  a list of websites to improve writing skills in the English language:

 

ESOL Courses is a free online teaching and learning platform that has activities to develop English skills, like writing. It is suitable for learners aged 13 and up at any level, from A1 to C1. All writing activities are about sentence completion and word order that allow learners to use correct grammar and vocabulary to create or complete sentences.


Grammar Monster is a website for learners aged 13 and up from A2 to B2 level. It has lessons and activities to improve and check grammatical points while writing. Its activities include how to use nouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and punctuation properly. The activities can be multiple-choice questions, true or false, among others. 


This website allows teenagers and adult learners aged 14 and up to practice their writing skills. The exercises are divided in three levels: beginner (A1, A2), intermediate (B1, B2) and advanced (C1, C2). The types of activities learners can find are answering questions, writing paragraphs, reports to give opinions, examples, details, etc. Learners also can have their score and feedback instantaneously, so they can improve it next time. 


This website is suitable for learners aged 13 and up at any level to practice writing skills. It has examples and activities about how to write properly using punctuation, capitalization, organization. The activities are multiple-choice questions, in which learners have to choose correct sentences,  check the grammar, and so on.


This website is for teachers and learners to learn grammar and vocabulary and improve their writing skills at any level, from A1 to C1. It provides 10-15 minute exercises in which learners have to order sentences, join sentences, complete with prepositions, nouns, verbs, etc. using correct spelling, capitalization and organization. In other words, exercises are about typing sentences, identifying grammatical errors and using correct punctuation. After ending each exercise, learners can see their grades and receive feedback with hints to do it better next time.

Also, the descriptions that you wrote will help people to know more about those web resources. What it is concerned to the website that I find the most useful to practice the writing skill, I will mention Write & Improve. It has everything to help the students to develops their writing skills. I just needed to sign up with my google account, and I was able to practice by writing paragraphs based on topics given by the webpage. I love that it has a tool to correct my mistakes, as well as a system that will provide me with some suggestions to improve my writing task. I am sure that this web resource will help to improve the way that I write. Thanks a lot.

  3. Writing is an important skill that teachers must teach and students must practice. To accomplish this, his blog provides students with five useful websites, but I think the most important one is Grammar monster. It has some grammar lessons and interactive tests to help students improve their writing skills. Also, I like that this website uses videos from some series to give examples on each respective lesson.

  4. Hello partners, I have reviewed the 5 writing websites that you have included in your blog, and all of them are fascinating. The one I liked the most is "Write & Improve" because it allows students to select or choose exercises in his or her level range such as beginner, intermediate, and advanced. All the activities we can find right there are writing paragraphs, reports, among others. In addition, we can save our progress by entering or creating an account, which is really useful.
